My Top Wellness Products
I truly believe beauty comes from the inside out. Overall health and wellness is so important to feeling good about yourself. I personally feel my best when I am eating clean and exercising regularly, which is why my top wellness products really focus on these key goals.
For years, I was looking for a good plant based protein shake that did not contain artificial sugars. If you've read my blog, you know that artificial sugars are a big no no. Multiple studies show that regular intake of artificial sugars actually causes weight gain. After months and months of trial and error, I finally found a clean healthy plant based protein shake that was free of artificial sugars AND was delicious. It is now my go-to protein shake when I need a meal on the go. I love both the chocolate and the vanilla flavors. One added bonus is that Aloha's Protein Powder also comes in individual packets, so it is easy to make when I am on the go.
Daily multivitamins are helpful for overall health and wellbeing. My biggest obstacle when taking daily vitamins is that I really dislike pills. This is why I think gummy vitamins are so great. They are quick and easy to take and I never conveniently “forget” to take them, because they are almost like a little treat. Vitafusion gummy vitamins taste great and are my go-to daily multivitamin. An added benefit is that daily multivitamins have actually been proven to help with weight management.
When I hit my forties, I learned the hard way that I couldn’t eat whatever I wanted. I started to make a conscious effort to increase my fruit and vegetable intake. Technically, we are supposed to eat 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. That breaks down to around 2 cups of fruit and 2 ½ cups of vegetables a day. Even if you eat a big salad every day, you may not be getting enough vegetables, because 2 cups of leafy greens only equals one serving of vegetables. The Vitamix helped me regularly increase my vegetable intake. Green smoothies can sometimes require an acquired taste, but the Vitamix turned my greens into a creamy delicious “shake”. I know the Vitamix can be a huge investment, but for me it was totally worth it.
